Setting up a tour is as easy as reaching out to our Director of Wedding & Event Sales, Rhonda Currington. She can be reached at rhonda (at) chaumette (dot) com.

What can Chaumette help me with?

We can help you with anything that concerns our venue. Never hesitate to ask us for
help, and we can point you in the right direction.

Here is a list of some basic items that Chaumette staff can assist you with:

  • choosing your menu
  • assistance with Villa reservations
  • send out reminders to you when items are due
  • design your floor plan/layout
  • assist with tent or other rentals
  • vendor recommendations
  • provide access to our décor/rentals
  • manage the catering and wait staff
  • provide linens, tables, chairs, china, flatware, glassware
  • ceremony set up
  • reception venue set up
  • on site for your rehearsal and event
  • manages event during contracted venue time

Here is a list of some basic items that Chaumette staff does not provide, and you may want to consider hiring a wedding planner to assist you with:

  • develop a wedding weekend timeline
  • assist with budgeting development and management
  • scheduling appointments for you to meet with vendors
  • custom vendor recommendations based on your budget
  • vision and personality
  • design assistance
  • review contracts with vendors
  • create custom checklists
  • works with vendors to ensure their contracts are executed
  • RSVP management
  • etiquette throughout the process
  • attend vendor meetings with you
  • carries an emergency kit
  • manage your full wedding day/weekend

Please keep in mind that our staff here at Chaumette are venue coordinators, not wedding planners. For wedding planning services, we highly recommend Signed Sealed Delivered Events

Do you allow sparklers?

According to your contract, sparklers are not allowed.

Can I bring my favorite food/beer/liquor/etc?

Chaumette provides all the food and beverages for your wedding, with the exception of desserts. If you have any special food or beverage requests, please speak with your Coordinator.

Can we host our rehearsal dinner there?

Yes! Our amazing staff would love to put together a beautiful and intimate rehearsal dinner for you. Please inquire with Rhonda Currington for more information.

I would really like to rent ______ for my wedding but I don’t know where to find them.

We can help you, and we have many sources for décor and rentals. Please note, your contract requires that all rentals be arranged through your Coordinator.

What forms of payments does Chaumette accept?

We accept cash, credit card, or check. If you are paying by credit card, remember that all subsequent credit card payments are subject to a 3% convenience fee. If you are paying by check, please mark in the memo line your last names and wedding date. This helps expedite payment processing.

Do I need bug spray for my outdoor wedding?

More than likely, no. We spray our events venues every two weeks to keep insects at bay, providing a space virtually free from most flying insects.

Chaumette is huge! Do you provide golf carts to get from place to place?

Generally speaking, it is best if guests use their own vehicle. Chaumette does not provide golf carts.

Can I put nails, hooks, or other hardware in the Barn?

As per your contract, you are not allowed to add any additional nails, tape, hooks, etc. to any of our venues. Fortunately, we have many hooks already in place in the Barn, and chances are we may already have what you need.

Do you allow dogs on property?

Dogs are absolutely allowed on property with a leash. We have a limited number of pet-friendly Villas – please check with the Villa Concierge for availability.

Is there a place for an “after-party” at Chaumette?

There are many great spots for an “after-party” at Chaumette. Your coordinator can help you arrange something perfect for you and your friends. All gatherings must be pre-arranged with your Coordinator.

Can I tell my guests to rely on GPS to get there?

Please don’t! Some GPS/mapping apps will send your guests to the middle of a field! We STRONGLY recommend you give your guests the following directions, included with your invitations, or on your wedding website:

From St. Louis: Take I-55 South to exit 150. At top of exit ramp, turn right (west) for .1m, then left on Hwy B (southwest) for 14 miles to Coffman. Veer left onto Hwy WW and go 2.6 miles, and turn right into winery.

From Farmington: Take Hwy OO towards Fredericktown. Turn left onto Hwy F and drive approximately 13 miles to Coffman. Turn right onto Hwy WW and drive 2.6 miles, and turn right into winery.

From Cape Girardeau: Take I-55 N, to exit 150. At top of exit ramp, turn left (west) for .2m, then left on Hwy B (south,) for 14 miles to Coffman. Veer left onto Hwy WW and go 2.6 miles, and turn right into winery.
